Evening, Stonehaven Bay

Evening, Stonehaven Bay
This model of a purse-net trawler is about 2 feet (60 cm) long. It was made mostly out of scrap metal in, I think, 2010 by an artist who prefers anonymity. Stonehaven, Kincardineshire.

At the far left is Garron Point, where the sedimentary rocks of the Lowlands meet the metamorphic rocks of the Highlands at the Highland Boundary Fault.

Don Sutherland, John Linton, Gerrit Fischer have particularly liked this photo

What an interesting artistic gesture, an anonymous sculpture left on the rocks.

Lovely set of tones.
