Slay the dragon!

Slay the dragon!
Stained glass screen depicting the death of a local 'knucker' or water dragon. The figures on either side are the angels of day and night. (Shame the font's partly in the way.)

Caroline Benyon of the Carl Edwards Studio, now of Benyon Stained Glass, made the glass in 1998. The story of the dragon is recounted here, under "The Knucker".

Church of St Mary Magdelene, Lyminster, Littlehampton, West Sussex.

Pigletta Pizzeri, Don Sutherland have particularly liked this photo
