Widefield imaging setup

Widefield imaging setup
This setup has a relatively 'fast' F-ratio of F4.8 and is used for imaging deepsky objects. The setup yields a wide field of view of 3.66 x 2.44 degrees. The equipment comprises: William Optics Megrez 72 refractor + 0.8x reducer / flattener, Canon EOS1100D camera (unmodified), Altair Astro 60mm guidescope, SX Lodestar Guide Camera (the most expensive part!). Images are captured using backyard EOS software. The whole rig sits on a Celestron CG5 mount controlled using PHD guide software.
