It used to be called Constitution Lane. One of the first videos the band ever made was them driving down Swanston Street (a main street through Melbourne) on the back of a truck. When the city fathers decided to honour the band, they didn't think renaming a major Melbourne street was a good idea, so they looked for a nearby lane. The name was changed a few years ago now and there was a naming ceremony and everything. The street sign is glued and bolted to the wall a long way above the ground, but it still gets stolen on a regular basis.
