KK Deep in thought. Cod and chips or pie and mash?

Dutt Changgle, The Limbo Connection, Edward Herdwick, Missi have particularly liked this photo

Thanks chaps!
Mick - advice from someone who knows one end of a camera from t'other is always welcome. This was about the best i could manage from where i was sitting without getting the window on the left in shot. This is full size SOOC, i can't see an obvious crop that wouldn't mess up the general balance of the picture.

Phil - the contents added nicely to the meal : )

I will try to remember that advice from phil anker because often I get distracting highlights in indoor portraits. Nevertheless, this portrait succeeds despite the window and reflections. The lighting is reminiscent of Vermeer and the glass of beer adds interest and information as well as filling in foreground. This is the kind of character study which is challenging to get right, and here the humanity of the subject is splendidly revealed. It is a triumph.

Mr Limbo i am somewhat overwhelmed. I see, i snap, sometimes i catch what i see, sometimes i don't. Perhaps i learn a little with experience but always, the camera has better IQ than the monkey holding it. He is though, very glad you liked what he got.
