Nikkormat FT2, Nikkor-H 28/3.5, Fuji ISO 200 film, f8 - 1/125.
Remains of a 19th century house owned by an early settler, along a trail in the Eno River State Park. It looks like it won't be standing much longer. A fine example of the pioneer spirit and worth preserving; if the UK has an over-developed sense of history, I guess the US might be said to be a bit stunted in that department. Or maybe the US is practical whereas the UK bathes in nostalgia. Whatever, it is an interesting and well-composed photograph. Well done in that endeavour.
A few years back I bid - and won - £25 in an on line auction for a Nikkor 28mm f/3.5 AI lens, the successor to the Nikkor-H you used for this picture. It's got a few small scratches but works fine and is a pleasure to use. I'd prefer the earlier version for its scalloped focussing ring but I can't complain about its durability and quality.
