New York Cottage, Throwley (c.1790)

New York Cottage, Throwley (c.1790)
Throwley, near Faversham, Kent, 27 March 2010. Built in about 1790 as an estate cottage for the Belmont estate. In American Colonial style this timber framed building with verandahs on three sides was probably designed by Colonel Montresor of Belmont, a retired engineer who had served with the British Army in North America.
