Worshipping the Sun and the Rocks

Here I am - enjoying a unique moment there in the desert of Nevada, the Valley of Fire to be exact. I have been looking for exactly that: A moment in complete seclusion, but out in the open land, face towards the sun, a soft breeze, not a sound, the warmth of the rocks soothing my skin. Noone and nothing to disturb the peaceful quietude - you never get anything like that in Europe, not even in the mountains.... there's always something or someone to disturb the SACRED MOMENT. To me, such moments are genuine experiences of spirituality.

Thanks a lot, ladies! There's (almost ;-)) nothing better than finding peace within one's self..., isn't there?

Absolutely felt the same there. North America offers this opportunity in many places... this absolute quietness... a miracle with a brain like mine, as jumpy and playful as a monkey.

Our minds seem to be working similarily and having the same need for absolute quiet every now and then ... :-) As of late, I have been getting that appreciation for the desert from other people quite a few times. Thanks for the visit and comment - glad to see there are likeminded people out there :-)

Yup, desert is also a place for peace of mind, but Southwestern states have something special I never in the deserts in went to. Some kind of energy, I don't know what, but something pretty strong... No wonder if some places are worshiped by new agers, like Sedona or Sequoia National Park for example. This places aren't exactly those which moved me, but it shows there is something ging one there.
Yup, you're not alone hahaha
Take care
