The Absolutely Not So Best Canned Organic Tomatoes On The Planet Update

The Absolutely Not So Best Canned Organic Tomatoes On The Planet Update
are Muir's fire-roasted organic tomatoes. I blend them if I am using them in a sauce. They have a rich, caramelized flavour that is superior, in my opinion, to any other canned tomato. And, they are organic, as was the spinach and the lasagna noodles. The lasagna noodles were really good. They were thin and they didn't have a curly edge so they were easy to fit into the pan - an excellent product. But, I will never buy Muir's canned tomatoes again no matter how good they taste.

Update. Utterly disturbing and totally frustrating. The Muir company has joined Monsanto by putting up a half a miilion dollars to help Monsanto defeat Prop 37, the bill, that if passed, would force food companies to label the GMO ingredients going into their products. Here is a link to a poster that demonstrates how big organic can go big-time wrong. I won't be buying this product anymore. Or Kashi. Really, you have to be on your toes about this stuff all the time. www.flickr.com/photos/twin_lens/8156492251/in/pool-gmo-free
