I so agree! I'm starting a series called 'driving Portland' - with only photos taken on the fly. I'm hoping it will give people a sense of my city from a local's perspective and not just the tourist attractions.

thank you. yes, hip photography is a good plan. these days it's easiry with phone cameras as everyone is looking at their phones, so people are desensitized to people having their phones up near them. you should scan and post some of those "hip" photos - i'd love to see them.
