Same place....

.. different time :o)

Taken at the same place as this picture. It is a shipwreck and the lights coming from behind is from my car... It was so dark and I am a little afraid of the dark (hehemmm)..

As I learn more, I am impressed that there are no easily visible "noise" pixels in this photo. When I tried a star-field I had to reduce settings on the computer to suppress the spurious noise I found. Well done, another superb piece of work!! :)

It has got to do with the exposure time. If you have the shutter open for long enough, you SHOUlD not get noise... (or atleast that is my experience). But sometimes lights get over exposed during long period of time so then you can hold something partially in front of the lens... Do you have a clue what I mean???

Yes, I understand! Did you do that to prevent the car-lights overexposing the shipwreck? In my own first-attempt ( www.ipernity.com/doc/nigelka/764995 ) the orange glow is caused by my neighbours kitchen-clock! I had to push up the exposure on the Mac to get more detail, but when I went too far the noise started to show. Unfortunately I haven't tried with RAW yet... And I only used 30-seconds - but I will get braver!! :D

great mood.
but the stars distract (me) totally from the weirdly deformed shipwreck. (once again nice use of the fisheye.)

I know - the stars look HUGE because of the long exposure....

This could be the cover of a sci-fi movie or book!

It's got such a mood of 'we are strand here on this little rock in the universe'...
