Could this be our future? 


Well, actually it is :O) This is my friends daughter, she was a model for me in a challenge on dpc (poverty)...

We made her a little dirty to make her fit the challenge.

I know, we are lucky here in Iceland! When I say this is our future I mean that kids are our future and this beautiful girl will be a part of that future :o)
I have traveled a lot around the world and back and I know what real poverty looks like and I know we are far from that but it is always the question how you see poverty, and people who are used to having not to worry about having houses to live in, cloths to wear and food and suddenly do - that can be really harsh! It really depends on what you are used to :o)

You mean in view of the current economic situation in Iceland ? Someone who works in the Icelandic embassy in Brussels told me they had closed at some point fearing a mob of angry Belgians would storm the place after hearing their assets had been frozen !!

Of course, if they had only sent notifications in French AND Flemish they really had nothing to worry about. Belgians don't become violent for non-linguistic reasons. ;-P

Takk fyrir og já ég er sammála, hún er svooo falleg!! Útlitið er þó nokkuð svart hérna þessa dagana. Fólk er að missa vinnuna left right and center - lán að hækka upp fyrir eignahlutfall fólks, margir að missa bílana sína og þar fram eftir götunum EN ..... nafnið á myndinni er reyndar tvírætt! Ég var að tala um að BÖRN væru framtíðin í þetta sinn :o)

I am very angry about the way our UK government has treated Iceland. But believe me, it is not what we "normal" British think! I know world finances are in a mess at the moment, and Iceland being so small is so badly affected... But you will never be poor of spirit - you have a rich culture and a rich personality, you are an honourable people ... some of whom are very good photographers too!! :-D

Thank you so much for these nice words. I know that UK people are not bad either although some are treating us Icelanders like shit these days... all the fault of some government and politics misunderstanding (I believe)... We will keep our faith and hope for the best, things will light up again and we will appreciate the good times more after all this. Things are getting so hard here, many companies going heads over, people loosing their jobs and personal assists - this is so horrible...
But as you say, we have our good faith and we will rise again as the rest of the world will also :o)
