99seconds of the Atlantic...

To make up for the one day I missed in my PAD I uploaded 3 pictures now...

This one is taken in complete darkness, overlooking the city lights of Reykjavík... funny how the lights reflect in the water....

I really love your northern long exposured shots. I wonder, how do you fight the noise problem of such long exposures.

Ragnheidurpro replies:
If you have the shutter open long enough - the grain will be minimal!!! Plus I try to avoid using ISO above 400... But sometimes I do get grain - then I add to the time... :o)

SBH replies:

Já það er bara aðeins að pirra mig þessi svaka lýsing frá bænum en á meðan það er svona dimmt á daginn þá verður maður annað hvort að sætta sig við það EÐA finna aðra staði fyrir myndatökur :o)

Wonderful long term exposure Ragga!

It's amazing to see a blue sky in a night shot.
Posted 23 months ago. ( permalink )
Ragnheidurpro replies:
Yeah I agree with the blue shy, and is also surprising because as you know when shooting long exposures you never know how it turns out!!

Such a beautiful, "alien" effect. You think you understand what you see, then you realise all is not what it seems. Great!

Ragnheidurpro replies:
Thanks - taking a long exposure against light can be bothering because of the burn out spots - but, in this one I thought it was ok because of how the reflection "explain" the hot spots!!
