One of the last gems of the cultural tapestry that makes DTLA so good.

Historical pieces of character and flaking paint are the institutions of DTLA and are being "updated" (sold out) for the disgustingly clinical/sterile, characterless, poison of Beverly Hills/Orange County superficial culture killing hyper-consumerism.

I'm sure some developer's already aimed to turn L.A.'s long standing Paradise Restaurant into a Banana Republic or some unexceptional two syllable hipster/yuppy eatery with shitty food disguised by idiots willing to dedicate their lives to believing every word of Yelp's bullshit reviews.

It could also be pegged for yet another hideous 500 unit overkill... who knows.
DTLA's losing its heart.

Exhibit A.
Douchebag developer with a overtly pretentious name, Brigham Yen, who called the longstanding DTLA Jewelry District "ghetto" and is calling for its demolish. Brigham's nose must be so stuffed with elitist snot he probably can't see or smell differences between a real ghetto and a piece of culture and history. Brigham... heh - that name doesn't even sound like he probably has the faintest idea of what a real ghetto is.

Yuppies really put my in a goofy mood.
