I eat quite a lot of Quorn - didn't realise it was a place! But thinking about it now - isn't there a famous Hunt called Quorn?

I believe there was,.... until politicians became involved. But then Quorn takes some hunting for in our supermarkets!

Contemplating the b&w image before, I am convinced, the mechanics did a great job.

You eyes didn't deceive you, Norbert. Apart from looking the business, I believe 7821 proved to be very reliable, until the boiler ticket expired in 2010. She has since spent almost six years on static display in Swindon's Museum of the GWR, pending another full overhaul at her home on the West Somerset Railway.

A great sequence and what a pleasant surprise after the previous image!

Thank you, George.I'm still surprised at just how many steam locos were recovered from that scrapyard and by how well so many have now turned out. Much of the work being done by volunteers and mostly funded by public donations.

Many thanks, John. And I'm glad you distinguished between an engine and train. So many people refer to the engine as being a train ;-)

Nothing as nice as a steam engine.

I can agree with you, Eunice....although I suspect most would not ;-)
