Acer Palmatum - 'Shindeshojo'

Acer Palmatum - 'Shindeshojo'
Seen in the Valley Gardens at Virginia Water during spring of last year ....2015.
In recent years I have usually made my third visit to the Valley Gardens during the first week of May, but not this year. Either the weather has not been fit, or I haven't, hence me delving in to my archives.

Exquisite.

My place for Acer's was always the Acer Dell at Chatsworth.

I have not been to Chatsworth since 1983/4 and forgotten most of what is/was there,.....apart from bananas and daffodils ;-)

You've not been there in ages - lost interest?

I only tend to visit there for the colours in April, May and October. Since last October I've only ventured out once with my camera and that was a day trip up to Gloucestershire and back.
Our climate plays havoc with my waterworks outside the summer months, but hopefully that is about to change.

I have an Acer like this in my garden...............but I'll be long gone before it gets anywhere near as big as this one.

This is a lovely image Neil...........the Acer really stands out..!!

Mayhaps you could try giving yours a fertilizer burger occasionally and you might be surprised ;-)

The brighter reds and pinks really stand out in a crowd, but no so the burgundy ones, (as per my next upload ;-)
