Those dastardly dogs!

Those dastardly dogs!
Not every dog can afford such a fine, but the council have to fund the dog patrol officers somehow...

HFF!

A very belated HFF, Ben.
Apart from one very steep hill, this fence and the railway station I did not see anything in Minehead. No sun, no people, no dogs and no gulls. Me thinks the town was closed.

Is there such a thing as a "summer season" in Minehead? Does Ken Dodd visit?

What is summer season in Britain? When men wear shorts and women no stockings? Nice find- HFF, Neil!

That's a barking mad fine!! Most dogs wouldn't even risk it for a biscuit :-))

Nice shiny fence though Neil......HFF to you!

What self-respecting dog would want to walk on that stinking beach anyway, harrumph, bark.

So what's supposed to be the problem, really? We have beaches where dogs have to be kept on a leash because of habitat issues (dog do like to stir up birds) but an outright ban seems pretty harsh.

Wow, the hounds here would be penniless in no time at that price! Good that you have dogs able to read the sign though. :-) Belated HFF, Neil.

Makes just as much sense as in Florida, US putting up signs about ducks - last I checked they didn't read them, but walked up the sidewalk toward town like it was put there for them.
Oh - the benches around the nearby lake --- they sat on them .. so, if a human came by .. tough! Find your own bench.
Always was on the side of the ducks !!

There in no point in putting up signs for ducks unless they are bilingual as fewl ducks are native English speakers;-)

The problem is there's no conscription of dogs any more. A couple of years in the infantry'd teach 'em a thing or three about discipline.

But that is really a good capture of the brilliant shiny fence.

Thanks for your input, John. Fortunately few dogs would earn a commission....unless for ceremonial purposes.

Sensitive subject for dog issues and it's a shame but I do understand the reasons. Great HFF though, just hope the metal hijackers don't take to nicking stainless steel tubing.

I have the impression that those signs are keeping the people of the beaches too...
