The 'Laboratory' at RHS Wisley

The 'Laboratory' at RHS Wisley
The Laboratory at Wisley is not as old as it appears.
It was built in 1916 to provide lecture rooms and research facilities for RHS students and scientists. It is an early example of conservationism as the building was designed to be in keeping with the garden and was built using recycled materials from derelict properties.

The garden lies between Cobham and Ripley in Surrey, off the main London to Portsmouth road (A3) south of Junction 10 of the M25. GU23 6QB

Flattery will get you everywhere!
I was stuck with a silent K and I was counting to ten rather than stick my oar in re not reading discussions, not double-checking & separators etc ;-)
Now having had a breather whilst someone totalled my 'almost' classic car....I have just posted an appropriate pic to the Alphabet!

Such a gorgeous setting..........I've never been to Wisley, despite the fact it's not that far away from me. You've inspired me to add it to my (ever growing) list of places to go with a camera - but probably not until next summer!

This is a lovely shot as well Neil........beautiful colours, great reflections and you've captured the architectural detail as well. Nice work!

Many thanx for taking the time to provide such a positive comment Keith.
It is probably wise to wait until next May before considering a first visit to Wisley, so that there will be some colours on show.

Many thanks. For many gardeners this place is a Mecca and the weather is crucial to any visit, but on wet days several hours could be spent in the 'glasshouse' which has three separate temperature zones.
