tssssssk, these iceland people :DD though you already have this amazing light spectacle in your nature, but i love the picture and it is wonderful that you are doing this. is everybody helping there? like a huge community? just would like to know :)

LOL, yes we do everything we can to brighten up those dark winter days ;o) We only have about 2 hours of muted daylight now, so every little thing helps :D

Here in Iceland, every family (and basically everyone) buys fireworks for New Years Eve. Around midnight everyone goes outside and shoots from their own backyard or gather in the streets and shoot together. The fireworks display is both awesome and chaotic.

The downside of this is that there are always some accidents since many people are not careful enough...

:DDD i can hear you, same here. evertime i am scared to leave the house around these days, not because of the noise, no. i'm just very thankful about my healthy body and i don't trust strangers to take care about me :)

this year i've been the first time for myself as i ever was dreaming of and it was soooo beautiful. i've chosen the best place for myself, by living here, cause in front of my window is a wonderful free area and i could just watch from a safe place, all those lovely people having fun and celebrate with their firworks, seemed like to be a firework, only made for me :) sigh ...
