Afternoon at the Blue Lagoon 


Drove by the Blue Lagoon this afternoon. The autumn sun was low and created sharp shadows on the lava.

Yes, it's name really is Blue Lagoon ;o) ... a lagoon of geothermal seawater and famous here in Iceland :o) You can visit their website and learn all about them :D The Blue Lagoon's website.

No not this time... this is taken from the road, I was just driving by and couldn't resist the colours against the lava :o) But I've been to the Blue Lagoon a few times and it's always great... always an experience :o)

sigh, it makes such a wonderful picture, you've created here, the salt(?) on the bottom of the rock and the small clouds on top, looks like a mirror ... and the watercolor is amazing.

Thank you nanny :o) The "salt" is made of minerals, silica and algae and the "small clouds" are steam from the power plant... The Blue Lagoon is an amazing place :o)
