At dusk, the beast comes to drink at the waterhole
Went on the spur of the moment with a very good friend to see the famous and much photographed rock of Hvítserkur. It was an adventurous journey... and at the end of it the beast awaited patiently... :o)
Oddur Jonsson nous l"a présenté il y a 2 mois, mais ta photo est plus jolie : reflet et surtout la couleur qui donne une trés bonne ambiance à ce monstre qui boit....:))) Ce rocher doit-être trés grand....!!!
Thank you so much Nadine! Yes, the rock is very large, it is about 15 meters high and the white stuff covering it is bird droppings since it is a home to a lot of birds :o)
Wow, this rock has got so many beautiful faces! I remember also Oddur's photos. And this place has something special on its every picture!
It's really great Begga, and the journey is really worth it :-))
Oh yes,I agree with Gobby, could be an alien after the undergoing of the world and the big thing is trying to eat up all the sand. The water of the sea is already empty :D
LOL... another imagination... when you drink this much, you also must wee wee this much... so now we know why the water disappears... and comes back... and disappears... and comes back... :D
Great pic of a magic and charming place dear Begga!!! And as far as I can see, you Icelanders are very trendy (in addition to many other qualities)!!! The colour of the moment here in Italy is Wisteria (we call it "Glicine") and I see the Icelandic sky is going to follow this trend!!!! Bravi!!! :-P
Well I don't quite know where my first comment has disappeared to!! So I'd better try again!! :-D
A marvellous shot of this rare beast - one which only those intrepid explorers in northern lands can find!!!! (Probably after a drink or two!! :-D ) I just wonder how this single piece managed to survive alone on the beach after all its friends had been washed away...
oh my i'll come back more often, still love this one and it attracts so me :) wsh you a wonderful day and i thank you so much for this piece of cake. thank you begga :*
