Don't miss Comet Lulin approaching Earth: It's green!

We all can see with our naked eyes the Comet Lulin as is approaches the Earth in February 2009. What makes this comet fascinating is its green color, which comes from the gases that make up its atmosphere as it races through the vacuum of outer space and approaches the heat of the Sun.

Yes, and what is not apparent straight away is that this is a 20-second exposure, so it must have been pitch-black when you took it!! :-D Could you actually see the little red hut?!?!?!

Great work Begga, that great stripe of cloud across the sky looks like so stratospheric wind passing by... :-)
Posted 10 months ago. ( permalink )
Pixiepro replies:
Yes, I actually saw the hut in spite of the darkness since there was both moon light and star light... and all that snow! But that was the only light source... I looooove night photography! :o)

Thank you so so much Nigel! :o)
