My world for a day 


We had beautiful weather today, newly fallen snow and sunshine so I packed the camera and walked into the back land behind Hafnarfjörður where I live.

I could have been alone in the world, in this wide expanse of snow and lava, it was wonderful to totally disconnect from the daily life and enjoy the total quiet of the place and the warmth of the sun.

Takk Ragga :o) já, ég dreif mig bara í gallann og út, labbaði alein alla leið upp í Valaból. Var alveg með "Palli var einn í heiminum" tilfinninguna í þögninni þarna uppfrá :o)

Thank you Charon and you are welcome to walk with me :o) The snow was not very deep on the "path" - maybe 20 cm. deep - I was wearing my hiking boots and snow trousers, no snowshoes ;o)

Flottir litir og skýir alveg meiriháttar, svakalega hvít og tær. Svo fær maður tilfinninguna alveg beint í æð að vera svona úti í óspilltri náttúrunni, einn með sjálfum sér :o)

Takk Oddur, gott að tilfinningin kemst til skila, svona gönguferð er á við marga sálfræðitíma og vítamínsprautur! Fékk einmitt sömu tilfinningu af göngumyndinni þinni!

Thank you Mike... no this is not high at all, I guess I'm standing at about 100 meters above sealevel... (if someone knows better, please correct me) ;o) I knelt down so the perspective is low, I guess that makes the surroundings look higher than they really are ;o) I'll be posting a photo soon where you see clearly the plateau where I was standing :o)
