Brin and Brunner

Brin and Brunner
I could've sworn I had some of Brin's Uplift books, but apparently not.

Brunner also wrote a ton, but these are the only two I have.

Two of Brunner's most enjoyable shorter novels, with The Traveler in Black being a fantasy novel unlike many (perhaps any) others. I also have that Ace Science Fiction Special edition -- loved that series! The Leo & Diane Dillon covers were things of beauty.

Brunner's famous sociological SF novels of the early 1970s are exceptionally good, especially the groundbreaking Stand on Zanzibar. In particular, I love Catch a Falling Star (a great far future story) & The Whole Man, which is a wonderfully humane story about a physically deformed but mentally gifted telepath. And The Long Result (shown above) is a solid, thoughtful novel with some interesting twists.
