I have no knowledge of the background to this very faded image. It was in the Pritchard family photos, but with no information. I think that the man on the left and the two on the right may be the Pritchard brothers and I have tried to guess at their ages and therefore the approximate date.. Why they are outside a tent with a Union flag I don't know. They don't seem to be in camping clothing!
This contribution to the Vintage Photo Theme Park for the folded arms/crossed legs weekly challenge. There is one young lad who manages to offer both options.

A jaunty group of fellows here and they appear to have brought a sturdy table from home. It would be interesting to know what they were up to. Out to observe some event perhaps.

It is all a bit strange. I hadn't thought about the table before. Perhaps they were in someone's garden or farm with a house nearby. There is a cooking tripod, a kettle and pans. One chap has a book. I think they look more serious than jaunty.

I'm amazed at how much equipment the campers of yesteryear always seemed to have (possibly civilization wasn't that far away in this case, and they brought supplies from a nearby house, as you suggest). And perhaps the four gents wearing suits are visiting the campsite of the less formally dressed fellow sitting on the ground.
