Very nice, they look quite fashionable! This appears to be a "walking picture" of the type taken by roving street photographers (perhaps this one came from the studio visible in the background) at seaside resorts, in front of newspaper offices, etc. See my Walking Photos album for some additional examples.

Lizzie, the grandmother in the photo, was married to a very successful tailor, so, although his products were largely for male customers, there was the sense of fashion in the family.
