I have rarely got round to having large prints made, so I don't know what they look like on the wall. Because they don't take that long to create I would feel embarrassed about trying to sell them. I must admit, when I have used abstract images on greetings cards, for fund-raising, some have created a bit of interest. Thanks for your on-going interest and kind remarks, Ms.W.

Don't sell yourself down (unintended pun), it's not how long something takes to make, it's the designers' idea. I love fabric and it's so expensive, but it is the designers inspiration and initative that makes it more expensive than running cloth through a machine.

I agree about fabric designers. I think the best should be considered among artists considered for major awards. I think places like the V&A do have exhibitions of textiles, but it would be great to have them displayed along side contemporary 'fine art'. I have often thought that if I was trying to do a spot of interior design, I would look for fabric which I could stretch onto frames and mount like canvases. I am sure that that has been done already. My son once used a child's duvet cover to make a huge picture for his son's bedroom wall. It looked great and was very cheap to do. I often see a fabric that I would like to see hung that way.

You are very kind, Paul. They are all just doodles. I start with some simple components, in this case an 'angle grad' and then duplicate, fold, layer etc and use some of the artistic effects to achieve the shiny lighting effect. I am still trying effects that I have spotted previously. It's all good fun.

It is one that I am most pleased with, but I am not sure how I got there and whether I could produce something similar again.
