Tug Sammy - Greenland Dock - 26.1.2009
This originally had a serious blue colour cast. Having spent some time trying to correct it, I decided the best option was to go into b&w, which certainly looks better.

A very nice tug picture, she almost has an 'American' look about her.

A quick Google reveals that she was, indeed, 'once an ex US navel tug named ST-220C'. Spell-checks only work when the wrong spelling doesn't exist, albeit with a different meaning.

Thanks, Owen. I don't know enough about boats, barges etc. to be sure, but it looks very similar to others I have seen. There is another view, that I have just uploaded, which shows it from a different angle. www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/33133875 Modifications, to make them into house boats, make it more difficult to know what type they were originally.

It does look to be styled very much like a Thames Barge Phil, perhaps a more recent style and fitted it seems with an engine as well as sail power.
