A very similar view taken in the late 1930s (with a link to an earlier postcard view), showing that the building on the far right occupies the site of a forge - otherwise there has been almost no structural change:

We went there when we borrowed our friends' static caravan at Winchelsea Beach. It's a lovely place, but my wife can no longer cope with the hills, or hill - one hill, many roads up it! So I doubt we will go back.
