A great portrait of a worker in an industry that is not often celebrated, but which most of us need, shoe-making. Most shoes are machine-made now I guess, but it wasn't all that long ago when most were hand-made. There is a statue in London, in a part of the City of London, named Cordwainer Ward, which was the centre for shoe-making in the city.
