Neusiedlersee

We spent the weekend 21-22 June 2008 at the Neusiedler Lake which is the only Steppe Lake in central Europe. Our destination was Podersdorf am See in the Burgenland which is blessed with about a kilometre of lake shoreline. Nowhere else around the lake does the water meet the shore directly; elsewhere there are reeds which stretch for several kilometres into the lake.
There was perfect hot summer weather all weekend. We were able to relax and enjoy the local wine.
