Cheesus !

first came the word game in mind, the sound; 'cheez' from 'jeez' are not so far away... then it took me a couple of days breaking my head how could I depict Jz on the plate. Difficult stuff, thought of different kinds of crosses. fish, hearts on fire and any other symbols I could recall. But the only universally recognizable one was found in Rio, which I believe is also known even to the Escimo's ... Though mine is a bit fatter than the statue, I hope the 'message' is clear ;-)

You need a new memory chip. When I'm back in Germany and if I remember it and if I find that photoalbum, I'll scan the original photo I took in 1981. Your edition looks pretty similar, good job! :-))

peri22bpro replies:
no, a chip is of no use. My hardware is severely damaged I think!
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
I agree. You don't even remember what you said 5 minutes ago. Sometimes I say something and you reply to something completely different, out of context, hahahaha. I just love confused conversations, they are so entertaining and I don't have a TV set.

peri22bpro replies:
yes! this is called total brainstorming, supposedly for people owning a brain (or at least sharing one)
And! (added later) who needs to remember? life is now, if you start remembering then life is somewhere else :-P
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
Remembrance is part of life. If you don't, it's denial and will result in even more disconnection. Your life seems to take place mainly on the Internet, I can never understand why people would prefer the Internet to real life. Well, if they're all on the Internet, at least then I have the outside world to myself and nobody is bothering me with their problems who they don't want to get rid of, anyway. People like to complain about their lives, but don't do anything to change it for the better...oh yeah, the Internet, sorry! Hahahaha.
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
peri22bpro replies:
it is, but that doesn't mean we have to let it dominate! I still have to think in order to classify the work it can do for me; but there's no time left because of the internet!
You're right. I feel lately that I'm too long online or in front of the pc, but on the other side, if I do this there must be a reason, which I may not be able to understand at this moment. And even then, it's no guaranty that the reason is illegitimate!
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
- I didn't say you should let it dominate you. But you shouldn't suppress it either.
- But you already answered your own question (in another comment) why you're spending so much time online...for now you prefer virtual people because it's safer and merrier.
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
peri22bpro replies:
- I usually don't suppress memories, they are politely disappearing by their own consent :-)
- yes, distance is my biggest friend
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
- You'll have lots of problems later because your memories will politely emerge again at one point in time, and probably at a very inconvenient point in time!
- We are quite different (what a profound statement - that's obvious, isn't it?). I dislike distance (I just sometimes like to be alone).
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
peri22bpro replies:
- hmmm, don't think so. If you let them live their lives out and you live yours, memories find their place and you find yours :-) everybody happy! and memories don't need to be bad of course. I'm not discriminating them
- we are all the same in been different!!! hahaha, another version :-)
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
- Memories are part of you. You can't separate them from yourself as you'll get a psychological problem. But you seem to like psychological problems. LOL. Hahaha, a guy I knew once told me that he wasn't romantically interested in me because I didn't have enough problems!!! ROTFL.
- Thank you for not discriminating against memories, they are currently withdrawing their lawsuit against you.
- But I'm much more different. I'm VERY different from you!
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
peri22bpro replies:
memories are part of me as of everybody (directly or indirectly). You separate them by knowing that they are memories. This is the best one can do and it's the healthiest one can reach. Psychological problem??? hahaha what is this?
And I understand the guy very well, he had the savior syndrom hahahaha. Well, you better get some problems! good, helpful guys slip out of your fingers like this :-(
- I'm grateful for not been sued by memories! :-))) one problem less :-DDD
- you are different from me??? well dear, this is a great compliment for us both LOLOLOLLLL
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
LOL. You come up with the most profound conclusions! Doesn't everybody know that memories are memories? What do you think other people think memories are? Tea bags?? Hahaha, the tea bags of memory - I think you should write a song with that title. Speaking of a psychological problem!!! ROTFL.
- So you're not being sued by tea bags? Lucky you!!!
- Hahaha, the rescue syndrome. Do you have that too? Do you also believe these dainty cute helpless women need rescuing? Oh yeah, their sensitive souls need to be saved with Euros!!!
- It sure is a great compliment for us both. Personally, I am jumping for joy about it.

It doesn't take the pleasure away. It prolongs it. I have never heard any Israeli complain about it and they would know. So would most of the Americans and Canadians. But who knows what your colleague lost...perhaps they accidentally...??!!

peri22bpro replies:
no he's jewish and I also was wondering how he could know about this, as far as he's never known otherwise...
but I remain finding it a primitive habbit, mingling in other people's lives with this piece of skin! ancient big brother!

Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
He probably heard too much non-Jewish propaganda and now he believes it, poor guy.
So have it removed then!! ;-P
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
peri22bpro replies:
I don't think so... he's over 50, old enough to have a clear picture of life and of himself... his anxiety somehow agrees with my view of this cruel habbit (and I didn't tell him about my vision of it, out of respect and not wanting to make him feel worse...). But he has it removed already long long ago !
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
- ROTFL. He is an artist? And you expect him to have a clear picture of life and himself at age 50? Wait no longer, it ain't gonna happen!! Very few artist are emotionally stable, so far, I know one among all those I've met.
- It's not a cruel habit, you just don't understand the advantages.
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
peri22bpro replies:
yes, he is... do you find it strange? yes, I do expect him to, though age is no guaranty of anything but age.
I think you have a rather foggy view of artists, emotional stability and first 'hand' knowledge of human 'extensions' :-DDDD
I insist on my thesis of cruelty in this habit, if I may. But that will have a minimal effect on the outer world, which effect is also not within my intensions :-)
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
- Not foggy, just speaking from experience. Of course not all artists are unstable, but a lot of those I met give that impression, they're either depressed, overly self-centered, and have that "nobody likes me attitude" or the other version: "I don't like myself". Maybe too much art involvement creates idealism and difficulties to deal with the imperfections of the world on a realistic level??
- Because you don't know why it's done.

no no, we're not going to copy the big boss, just try to depict him in the appropriate way ;-)
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
Exactly, Marco. The criteria of what is considered "hot" ought to change. Because just counting the comments (including one's own) doesn't really say too much about the artistic quality of a photo (of course I'm not referring to this photo here because it is very artistic with a great title), but I just wanted to point it out in the context of "talking too much" and "hotness". It had occurred to me before, but I got sidetracked. Anyway, just an idea... to make the world a fairer place, so let's start with Ipernity. Viva la revolución! ;-))

Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
Yeah, if they are applied correctly. If you use the right algorithm for the wrong program, it will result in the program Peri22c! ;-PPP
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
peri22bpro replies:
yes, how do you do that... I wrote somewhere else about this explore thing (also to IPy staff)... they call it 'hot' and the title is OK for what it does now. It collects the numbers of activity, which clearly has nothing to do with quality (or almost). But who said explore is there to show the 'quality'??? You cannot do that, because tastes differ. One way could be to have a biiiiiiiiig chat and everyone write their opinion on what we consider good to put there. A kind of quality rules. But this is a big trouble and I don't know how many philosophers are around here... or people that like to work with rules anyway.
My main idea was to let people mark 1,2,3 photos as their prefered ones to be exposed... and then is the trouble gone (regarding quality). The content decides itself and not any kind of algorithm or programmer with good intentions but lack of taste or knowlegde (in the worst case).
An 'explore' with different possibilities (choices) would be best and more complete, not only activity numbers. Read the post in the blog... :-)
