THIS WOOD STORK HAS NEST IN A ROOKERY - QUITE A DISTANCE FROM THIS LAKE. FOUND IT BY ACCIDENT .. THE SOUNDS OF THE BIRDS ARE ALL I HEARD ,, THEN SAW THESE STORKS -- HERONS -- IBIS -- AND HAVE NO IDEA HOW MANY OTHERS THERE. ALWAYS HAD A WOOD STORK 'ON SENTRY DUTY'.
ONLY WAY TO SEE IT WAS TO GO ON PRIVATE PROPERTY .. OFFICES BUILDINGS.
ONE TIME A GENT CAME OUT AND ASKED ME "DO YOU KNOW YOU ARE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY?"

I SAID, "YES SIR"

I AM DOCUMENTING THIS NESTING ACTIVITIY FOR THE STATE WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT".

HE WAS OKAY WITH THAT --

I WAS THERE BECAUSE THOSE BIRDS WERE FASCINATING - BUT HAD TO TELL HIM SOMETHING THAT SOUNDED 'LOGICAL'.

NOBODY BOTHERED ME AFTER THAT.
