Blue Berries 

blätter wie bei maiglöckchen. das ist schon mal kein gutes zeichen. :-)

An Maigloeckchen hab ich auch gedacht, aber die haben rote Fruechte, oder?

Ich hab die Pflanze gefunden: Bluebead Lily, Clintonia borealis.

Drive up to the picnic area in Heintooga. I saw many flowers there, that I never saw anywhere else in the park. And the rhododendron are still in full bloom up there, all along the road, more than I have seen anywhere else!

The rhododendron seems to be only in certain places this year. When I was at Ramsey Cascades a few weeks back it was everywhere. I have some pictures of the flowers of this blue-bead lily but I have never seen the berries. Someday I will make it Hientooga it is a looong drive from here in knoxville :)

Yes, I know - but it's worth it (to us at least). And there is hardly anybody up there :-)

One day, we are going to drive down that one way road - 14 miles, winding and unmaintained. At least I plan on doing that every time we are up there - and then we always have second thoughts ;-)

sieht so aus wie die zweiblättrige einbeere (die heisst wirklich so ), aber dafür hat sie eindeutig zuviele blätter und beeren.
vielleicht ist es eine dreiblättrige vielbeere... oder so...

Das hier ist die Blauperlen-Lilie (bluebead lily), und ich finde, der Name passt :-)

das finde ich auch. und auf englisch klingt er schöner, als auf deutsch...:-)
