Turk's Cap Lily 


We found many of them in the higher elevations!

I applied a watercolor filter because the picture was a bit blurry, but I wanted to show the details.

She reigns above them all! Up in virginia this would be the time of year these guys blossom. No idea where to find them in the smokies though. I know I see your tags, road prong, but I want somewhere that is a little closer! :)

On the road to Clingmans Dome is a parking area where the trail starts. They grow right at the beginning of the trail.
