The Golden Gate Bridge ~ with smoke from the wildfires.
The smoke from the fires that day was quite heavy. Again . I wanted a less "common" shot. To that end I was on the wrong side of a fence and close to a very big drop off ! It was the only place I could get the piers to line up.

Yes.. I know I know... bad Pamy... but who wouldn't among us when its the one chance you have ?!

Very brave shot! Lucky for you the rangers didn't catch you and put you in Bridge Jail! Wow, that is serious smoke, I thought it was fog.

That wasnt the worst smoke day either . The Saturday was a clear day.. but one of the few.

Sorry, Pam. But I am still at a loss. Are you seriously suggesting that photos are verboten here?

Ok ? I was somewhere I was not supposed to be (due to a very big drop off to my left !!! had I been seen by a Ranger etc.. I would have got a telling off !!

Ok now ? Right side of fence OK... (but piers wouldnt line up) Wrong side of fence not OK... due possible but minor death event !!! (But piers did line up nicely !!)

The fire were only 60 miles away. This was a "better" day.. the smoke was very very tangible in sight and smell most days.

Have a photo of Pam waaaay out past the sign / barrier/warning, etc.

Well, you risked fines, imprisonment and death to get this great shot. When I was there, I just sat behind the steering wheel of my pickup and drove across the bridge. I think I remember looking left and right at the ocean and bay, but I have no photos.

I wondered about this angle, even before I clicked on the small image to make it big. It is unique and beautiful. Yes, Bad Pam - and I have been Bad Raingirl more than once. Hopefully we are careful in our 'badness', nothing too crazy.
