The "blue" is actually an ugly galvanised metal sheeting I try to keep out of focus !!!!

These are vicious beasties !! This is an unripe one ....

I've grown them when we lived in Houston but I guess I never let them go to seed or they were never pollinated.

Did you plant the seeds? Don't remember if they are easy or difficult to grow from seed.

Ron.... the originals were here when we came... but.... I let them self seed and they make good babies ! Two of the vines are now some of those grown on babies. I have sent the seeds to some who have asked.. but they havent had alot of success. You can however buy the seeds of some of the sub species at the garden shops. That said.. i have plenty of seeds for any that want to have a go !

I'm tempted to try but we really don't have the space and the climate here isn't conducive to growing them outdoors.
