Extraordinary image. Life is pretty hard for the birds sometimes.

Thankyou Jean !

I feed half the wildlife here. The birds I built up to 43 species know they get food and water... twice a day... its WHY I cant afford to come Home for a trip !

This day 3 years ago I had just arrived in England for the first time in 5 years since I I had come here. Its now 3 years on..

You will get back. I try not to count up what it costs to feed the wildlife but it seems to cost more and more. Rugby scrums of starlings and sparrows then I feel I have to top up to give the robin and other species a chance. Now I've added hedgehog food and I seem to be forever adding new plants for butterflies and bees. It's only a tiny garden so I enjoy seeing what is happening in yours very much..

Thankyou Jean....

Yes... I fully understand.. I add more and more bits and pieces... but the joy they all bring is worth it. The critters here are still as it should be... very shy... not dependant.. I would hate that... Nature has to balance. BUT... when I see a Possum venture out in the bitter cold because she hopes to find a meal.... then I just make sure there IS some. Its the same with the rest of the wildlife... and they KNOW even in the deep minus temps and the 120F+ ... I will put water out.. and refill the iced containers or dry ones .

They all give much to me....I can give what I can back...
