Privet Hawk Moth and Moonflower

Privet Hawk Moth and Moonflower
This amazing moth was on the Moonflowers tonight. The photos in the Notes(top left) are blurry as they move so FAST... and I just am not good enough to do better with what I have right now. BUT.. they do give an idea of size. the Moonflowers are about 8 inches across !

Jenny McIntyre, micritter, Ceropegia have particularly liked this photo

Thankyou spacemouses ! They were used in rituals in the SW by the Native Americans. There is toxicity about them.. but just growing them is fine and the perfume is gorgeous !

Amazing how deep the moth goes into the flower. The light must have been low. What camera/settings did you use? You have inspired me to plant some moonflowers this summer.
