My Mexican Skies

My Mexican Skies
This one goes to all my Japanese friends who wanted so see some cactus action.

There are not many where I live but I finally found some decent specimens on a recent trip to Monte Alban, Oaxaca.

It is always interesting to talk about cacti with a Japanese.
The best part is that the Japanese language only has one single word for all of them: "Saboten" or サボテン

Whilst in Mexico we have several names for each type and shape, such as: Agave, Nopal, Maguey, Aloe, Tuna, Cactus, Peyote, Saguaro, Pitahaya, Cirio...

Hay otra clase de cactus llamado "Órgano" muy similares a los que están en la foto que tomaste en Montealbán, estos se dan en un parque nacional ubicado en tierras de Oaxaca y Puebla, México.
