My first try...


... to capture the Northern Lights with my new camera. As soon as I got out it started to get cloudy, but I got this tiny line in one of my pictures. I also need a remote trigger so I can take longer exposures. I'll keep on trying and won't quit until I get a decent one ;o)

Takk Begga. Norðurljósin voru nokkuð öflug alveg þar til ég fór út, þá fór að þykkna í lofti :( Svo var ég að reyna að losna við sem mest af ljósunum úr bænum, þarf að reyna aftur sem fyrst :o)

A fine picture for a lot of other reasons beside the Northern Lights, Oddur! When I had the Nikon D40 I bought a Nikon wireless remote ML-L3. It worked perfectly, and for long exposure "bulb" shots you just press the button once to open the shutter, and once more to close it again. Worked like a dream and they don't cost much either.

Thank you AS. I'm already waiting for my remote trigger cord, they only had one really expensive with a display, but I will get one from abroad soon... hopefully :o)

Frábær mynd... Aldeilis góð byrjun á norðurljósaveiðum hjá þér. Þau eru falleg og skýr þarna inná milli... án gríns, mjög góð hjá þér... Vonum að triggerinn lati sjá sig bráðlega :o)

Even though it is a decent one it's well captured. I love the colour of the light and the stunning atmosphere and scenery arround it. The Northern Lights were one of the most impressive wonder of nature I've ever experienced and I hope fervently to see it again this year.
