Wow. This is such a place where you really need a wide angle lens.

For a wide angle lens? Sure. Like most of the ipernity people I met, I like the Sigma 10-20. It's good and not that expensive (see http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=298&sort=7&cat=37&page=1 ).
Cristina told me, she also likes the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 which is better for available light pictures, but it's a bit more expensive (see http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=352&sort=7&cat=40&page=1 ).

Hmm...Sigma one's seems to be lighter than another.

I'll check how it costs here in Japan ;-)
