Faraday Building and City Point
In the '30s and '40s the Faraday Building complex was the centre of Britain's national and international telephone network. It blocks the riverside aspect of St Paul's Cathedral and directly led to the legislation protecting the views of the cathedral. City Point is one such building affected as it was originally intended to be taller but was truncated because the spire in Calatrava's design would have obstructed the view of St Paul's.
