Wo ist dieser Wurm?
Unter jedem Spaghettihaufen befindet sich in 20cm Tiefe das Schwanzende eines Wattwurmes, der dort im waagerechten Teil seiner U-förmigen Röhre liegt. Der Wurm ist braun bis schwarz gefärbt, fingerdick, und durch seinen ausstülpbaren Rüssel, die roten Kiemenbüschel und sein dünneres Schwanzende unverwechselbar.

Tag 176/366 (2020) mit dem Rad von Husum um Nordstrand, zur Hamburger Hallig und direkt zurück nach Husum (90km)

How cool! I love to find clues which give away creatures nearby. I have never seen a lugworm casting but your picture is exactly the sort I would love to capture with my macro lens! Your main picture shows just how many of these guys there are. They are like the crabs that make the air bubbles in sand! I love that. It's fun to picture the animals just under our feet. As a kid I've tried to dig them out but they dig faster than I do! :D Then again, I caught one once and didn't make that mistake again...EWWWW!!!! :D

Your shrimp, crab and beach shot are also super. Really nice visiting with you at this low tide! :)

Oh and btw I looked up lugworms...they aren't something people would want to eat but they are classic bait for fishermen! :)
