THIS was quite a discovery - those blocks on the crossarm ends are a sign of very OLD construction.

It's entirely possible that this is a survivor of the privately owned 110V DC distribution system before the muni took over in the 1920s and installed a 2400V distribution system.

I suspect this pole and its crossarm construction is original from the first build of 2400V. How tall is the pole? Certainly is VERY old construction, given the blocked deadend arms and the spacing between the two levels of crossarms.
