Xcel Energy - Sioux Falls, SD

Xcel Energy - Sioux Falls, SD
Cold enough to freeze the nuts off a brass monkey and supposed to be colder yet tomorrow.

Here's pole #29 - essentially complete but for one side of the distribution arm - the distribution circuit is that old 23.9kV line that starts out as the bottom arm of the Old Iron line. Hardly any trace remains of that line's path today.

Now it becomes clear why Xcel didn't shift the one phase over to the same side when they set the pole - wouldn't have made any difference if they were going to cut in some dead-ends anyway.

Jesse Lor, Tony Glen, Sean Kinnier have particularly liked this photo
