Some of those "flat" ridge pins can still be found on farm lines here, but many of them are bent.

I decided to follow the line on from SD 115 back towards Sioux Falls and the first mile west of SD115 was almost all original and had several angle poles! Will have to return soon for pictures.

That sounds interesting.

I wonder if this was originally a transmission line? I recall you showing me a branch with Ohio Brass Baum Patent disks on it that appeared to have been ungrounded single phase. Perhaps it was an old 13.8kV line or something like that?

Yes I believe this was a transmission line originally - likely built to serve the former municipal utility at Garretson.
