Otter Tail Power - Heaton, ND (rural)

Otter Tail Power - Heaton, ND (rural)
A different view of the 41.6kV singlephase line into the sub and the 2400V singlephase line heading north to town.

The culvert seems to be from the original alignment of ND 7 (now ND 200).

SW Ohio Lines, Jesse Lor, Tony Glen have particularly liked this photo

Those are definitely some old poles alright! I would've loved to have seen this line back when it had the "two-up" arrangement.

Do you think this may be the oldest 41.6kV line you have found on Otter Tail?

Now that you mention it, it may well be!

I don't understand the present 2400V "singlephase" line. Is there one live wire, one neutral, and one wire retired in place?

Correct. Too bad there's no street view up into Heaton as I'd like to check that distribution system to see how much is left (last I heard, there was only ONE active service left in town).
