The closest I have ever come to finding a Union Public Service Co. substation. It's gone now as the 7200V line was put underground recently.

The circuit up above is actually a Sioux Valley Energy 12.5kV line! Don't ask me how OTP managed to run their own 7200V circuit to serve several customers along Sioux Valley's line.

Jesse Lor, Matt Weldon, Power Lines, Tony Glen have particularly liked this photo

What insulators are those on the lowest crossarm?

Those are some unique looking insulators on the bottom crossarm, nice find!

They looked like very early Lapps and which I now realize could have been relics from Dakota Light & Power since that style well predates Union Public Service Co. That makes three styles confirmed for that long defunct company's system.

That's interesting. They looked like some early mud. Maybe I'll throw 'em in the Early Insulators group.
