Northern States Power - Sioux Falls, SD
(swiped from Google Maps street view)

Didn't realize that street view was available for the sub - at least now I know from where I need to position myself for a good overview shot.

Lewis Perkins, Tony Glen have particularly liked this photo

For whenever they may need a temporary substation trailer on site - note the 69kV line is just above it.

By the way, there USED to be a multipart where that post is now. (the same clamp top style as used on the line that just came down)

Good shot there! I always enjoy getting to see some familiar poles all tied together in one scene.

Are those toothpick poles I see in the background?

That's a cell tower in the back. This line is all 2400V-class mud and angle iron braces! Well, except for the clamp-brace arm on the overhead replacement feed coming out of the sub.

All three remaining 4160V lines are now rebuilt for 13.8kV with the switch-over to happen this week.
